Overhead Bridge Cranes are available in top running or under running
designs with one or more girders forming a bridge beam that
supports either one or more hoists. At the end of the bridge beam are end trucks which move the
bridge along the runway structure. These can be designed with either top running end trucks (They run on square
bar on top of the runway beam) or under running (They run on the bottom flange of the runway beam) In special circumstances we can have both on one crane, such as the center picture above. In that case, an Aircraft Hanger, the customer required a maximum door height for the aircraft so we put a top running end truck on the back wall and an under running end truck above the front door. Single Girder cranes utilize simpler construction methods and provide lower over all weight, resulting in a more economical system. These cranes can accommodate spans up to 50 feet using wide flange beams and up to 100 feet using a fabricated box girder.
