Training Are your people properly trained to operate your Cranes/Hoists ? As of April 15, 1998 WCB Regulations require that overhead crane operators: A) Receive adequate instruction in and demonstrate thorough knowledge of the safe operation practices of overhead cranes and lifting devices (Section 14.34), B) Perform inspections of the equipment at the start of each shift and report any deficiencies or safety concerns to the designated person or department (Section 14.35).
